Washing machines on Curacao

15 juni 2020

Do you live on Curaçao, and are you looking for a new washing machine? Choosing which washing machine suits you best, depends not only on how often you wash, but also on the price you want to pay, the energy class (A +++ being the most economical), and the weight capacity (the amount of laundry you can fit at once). Machines that can hold 7 or 8 kilos are the most common. Additionally, you can also choose between a front or top charger. If you choose the top charger, also known as an American washing machine, pay attention, as most of the American models do not have a heating system. Therefore, you should have a hot water supply (not every house on Curacao has one). The front loader (European model) are slightly more practical regarding space. You can use the space above the washing machine. This is ideal if the machine is placed in a cupboard or small space.

Check in advance whether there is a 220 or 110 volt power connection.

For 220 and 110 volt washing machines and other household appliances, you can contact Multimart, Building Depot, La Curaçao, Politronica and Omni.
